CASA GIRASOL
This residential project was built for the purpose of resale. A small city lot in a great neighborhood was the setting for a signature high ceiling design with separate public and private spaces within the residence. The main building great room features 15’ ceilings inspired by some of the 19th century buildings in the historical center of Todos Santos.
The master suite is connected by a bridge deck and elevated from the great room floor level by about 5’, access is via inside stairs from the living area. Windows throughout the house are favoring a north exposure for indirect light and the sills are high above floor level, eliminating the need for window treatments to create privacy. Details such as massive plank doors and exposed concrete structural elements framing the entry add to the architectural mix of elements.
